Dual-Enrollment

Dual Enrollment is a program at Henry Ford Community College that allows high school students to take college courses at Henry Ford Community College that are paid for by the student's school district or charter school. This program provides eligible students the opportunity to receive college credit while still in high school.

Henry Ford Community College also has an "Advancement Plus" program in which public, private, or home-schooled students may take college courses that are paid for by the student's parent/guardian. Home-schooled students must get the approval of the HFCC Counseling Director before he or she can be considered for Advancement Plus. Phone number: (313) 845-9611.

To begin the process of becoming a dual-enrolled student you should first discuss this path with your high school counselor to find out which HFCC classes best fit your needs. There is an HFCC web site you can also visit and a PDF application that is online.

High School Articulation Agreements

Students can receive college credit for designated high school courses provided they also take particular additional courses at the college. Contact the CIS department or your high school to see if an articulation agreement exists with your high school.

At HFCC, the Career and Technical Education Office of Secondary Partnerships handles high school articulation agreements.
